Palestine, TX – The Texas State Railroad is headed to the North Pole! All Aboard The Polar Express™ Train Ride for an unforgettable journey departing the Palestine Depot beginning November 13 through December 27, 2009 on selected dates.

Inspired by the award winning book by Chris Van Allsburg, this classic holiday favorite comes to life as families take a ride to the North Pole. Read along with the story as the train makes a round trip journey. Meet Santa, enjoy caroling, hot chocolate and a treat. And, for those who believe, a special gift for each child. Kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas.

Last year we sold over 31,500 tickets and had visitors from 19 states as well as many international visitors, said Lori Pennington, Marketing Manager. “Tickets are selling fast! We have already sold over 12,000 tickets!”
