Corpus Christi - Feel the haunting rumbling vibration of over 5,000 pipes of the Grand Cathedral Pipe Organ, as it thunders through Corpus Christi Cathedral. Lee Gwozdz, the Cathedral Festival Brass and Percussion and the Brass Ensembles from Texas A&M Corpus Christi & Kingsville will dazzle attendees with ceremonial music of the Baroque Period to the movie film scores of today. Highlights from this surround sound experience will be J.S. Bach's famous Toccata in D Minor, Andrew Lloyd Webbers Phantom of the Opera and music of the season including an audience surprise treat! A concert that promises to be a shreikingly thrilling afternoon!
This inaugural concert of the Cathedral Concert Series 26th Season will feature members from the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra Brass and Percussion Sections combining with the Collegiate Brass Ensembles of Texas A&M CC & Kingsville. These combined ensembles, which will include: 18 Trumpets, 12 French Horns, 12 Trombones, 6 Tubas, 4 Kettle Drums, Bass Drum and Percussion, will feature music of the late Renaissance to Contemporary Music of today.
