WIG OUT 2009

Corpus Christi, TX: K Space Contemporary is excited to announce that plans are underway for Wig Out 2009, our signature fundraiser. This annual event where wigs are strictly required! will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009, 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at K Space Contemporary. 

This year's fundraising goal is $15,000. Proceeds from Wig Out will be used for gallery operations; to help fund our unique art education programs; to help fund exceptional exhibitions juried by renowned artists and arts dignitaries; and to continue to set the highest standard for contemporary art in South Texas.

WigOut 2009 kicks off with a Wig Parade aboard the DTown Tram during ArtWalk. Lead sponsor, Partida Tequila is providing specialty margaritas for the entire evening.   Stylists from Corpus Christis best salons are designing wigs for the event, which will be modeled throughout the evening. The event will include door prizes, food, drinks, silent auction and art sale. Entertainment includes a special appearance by the cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Master of Ceremonies Rachel Payne, and music by DJ Curtis Rock.  

At 10:00 pm WigOut will move to one of Corpus Christi's most respected and recognizable downtown hot spots, House of Rock. Scarecrow People will headline the amazingWigOut After-Party where all the fun continues.
